Better quality of ingredients and better for you than going out to eat. Have this soup alone or serve it as a 1st course. Use leftover meat mixture to make a stir fry...you will have more than 1/2 of meat mixture left over, unless you are making a whole lot of soup! Read more !
Ingredients:
4 cups low sodium chicken broth
2 cups low sodium beef broth
1/4-1/2 cup chopped green onions
1 head bok choy, chopped
wonton wrappers
1 pound ground pork
1 cup chopped carrots
1 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
1 cup chopped onion
1 tbsp. ground black pepper
1 egg beaten
Directions:
1. Put 1st 4 ingredients in pot and bring to boil on high heat after you prepare wontons...
2. Mix together the pork, veggies, soy sauce and pepper.
3. Put one Tbsp. of pork mixture on wontons and fold; dampening edges w/ egg.
4. Make as many as you want and drop into boiling broth w/ cabbage. If you want, you can throw in the egg and just stir a bit...it will break up like egg drop soup.
5. The wontons cook in 5-6 minutes.
