POPCORN GRANOLA SNACK This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Quinn Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1991.
Ingredients:
8 cups popped popcorn
1 cup old fashioned oats
3/4 cup cashews
1/2 cup each shredded coconut
1/2 cup raisins
1/3 cup sesame seeds
1/3 cup unsalted sunflower seeds
3/4 cup honey
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 300.
2. Combine all dry ingredients in roasting or jellyroll pan.
3. Heat honey and oil in small saucepan over medium heat until honey melts about 8 minutes.
4. Remove from heat then stir in vanilla and pour over popcorn mixture and toss to coat.
5. Bake 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes then cool completely and store in airtight containers.
