This was something my Mother made. Growing up Saturday was Bake day. My mother made all the bread for the week. There were 10 of us so you can imagine what it was like. She would make White, Brown , and Raisin Bread . Read more . She always made a bit extra for what We Called Polly Woggs. Why I don't know but whenever we make bread and we all do we always leave out some extra dough for Polly Woggs
Ingredients:
bread dough
butter
toppings
molasses
honey
jam
butter
Directions:
1. Cut small pieces size of an egg from whatever bread you are making. stretch into a circle like a pancake and fry in pan with a little butter. Flip like a pancake when one side is cooked cook other side. serve hot from the pan with whatever topping your little heart desires. Great afternoon treat or how about Polly Woggs for Lunch.
