This recipe is an old-time favorite and comes directly from Eagle Brand Condensed Milk's recipe file. I've been making this for years and share it with neighbors in holiday gift baskets. Its so simple to make and takes less than five minutes to put together. Read more . Just melt, mix, pour and set.
Ingredients:
3 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 can of regular eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
2 tsp. of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of chopped glace cherries (maraschino cherries will not work as they'll bleed into the fudge.
1/2 cup of fresh mini marshmallows
*you can skip the cherries and add other dried fruits to the fudge, such as cranberries or apricots.
Directions:
1. Using a microwave-proof glass bowl, melt the chips and Eagle Brand together in your microwave for 1 minute.
2. Stir and return to microwave for one more minute.
3. Stir until milk and chocolate are well-combined.
4. Stir in vanilla, cherries and marshmallows.
5. Spread out into a lined 8 inch square pan.
