My Polish girlfriend made this wonderful cake called Murzynek, a moist delightful layered chocolate cake. Although there are many versions, hers was a chocolate cake filled with a rich buttercream filling and icing. Read more . She translated the recipe into English . However, after looking at her recipe, I changed it a bit by adding more baking cocoa, a bit more butter and less eggs and it came out just as great! One can use any liquer cake glaze and their favorite buttercream icing. I happened to have pans suitable for Valentines day and thus the heart shaped top and garnishes. However next time I would standard pans and frost the whole thing for a more elegant look
