Do you have leftover polenta and don't know what to do with it. This is a mixture between a lasagna and a pie. Very quick and easy to make. Grana Padano is an italian cheese very similar to parmesan cheese. You can infact replace it with parmesan.
Ingredients:
500 g prepared polenta (cold and sliced 1 cm thick)
300 ml bechamel sauce
200 g gorgonzola (crumbled)
100 g bacon, slices (chopped)
2 tablespoons grana padano, grated or 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
1 -2 sage leaf (chopped)
salt and pepper
Directions:
1. Butter a terrine and make a layer of polenta on the bottom. cover this with a layer of bechamel, some crumbled gorgonzola and some chopped pancetta.
2. Keep on layering, ending up with bacon pieces on top. Add the Grana Padano, chopped sage leaf and pepper on top and bake at 180 degrees C for 10-15 minutes.
3. *I grill it for a few more minutes because I like it rather browned.
