This is a very hearty pizza chili. It's also a one pot dish so it's super easy to whip together.
Ingredients:
1 pound ground sirloin
1/2 pound hot sausage, taken out of casing
2 cups chopped sweet onion
1-1/2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 cup chopped green peppers
2 jars spaghetti sauce, try ragú® 6-cheese
2 cups water
3 teaspoons sugar
2-14 1/2 ounce cans diced chili-style tomatoes
1 cup diced pepperoni
1-1/2 tablespoons beef bullion
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 14-1/2 ounce cans dark red kidney eans, rinsed and drained
1-1/2 teaspoons chipolte chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
mozzarella cheese to garnish
Directions:
1. In a large stock pot, sauté ground beef, sausage, onion, green pepper and garlic until meat is cooked and vegetables are tender.
2. Add all other ingredients, except cheese, into the pot.
3. Stir to mix well.
4. Bring to a boil and simmer, uncovered, for 45 minutes.
5. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
