Really tastes like pizza! Can be adapted for your family's preferences.
Ingredients:
4 ounces sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon oil
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
1 teaspoon oregano
2 cups water
15 ounces pizza sauce
1 cup chopped pepperoni
1/2 cup cooked italian sausage or 1/2 cup hamburger
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
mozzarella cheese, shredded, for sprinkling
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, sautéed mushrooms and onion in oil for 2-3 minutes.
2. Add rest of ingredients.
3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Before serving, stir in Parmesan.
5. Garnish with mozzarella.
6. *Can use crocks, cook on low for 3-4 hours. Just brown the meat and dump everything in the crockpot. I've added leftover meat and spaghettie sauce to stretch the recipe*.
