This delicious pizza is easy and delicious. The sauce is sweet without using sugar like most places do. We used whole wheat flour + gluten the first time, and it turned out well, but we think it will be better with bread flour. Make sure you follow your bread machine's directions for prepping the dough before you turn it into pizza. All pizzas are more delicious with extra oregano.
Ingredients:
3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons yeast
1 1/2 teaspoons powdered milk
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
1 cup water
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 garlic cloves (crushed)
1/8 teaspoon lemon juice
7 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
1/3 ounce grated parmesan cheese
3 sliced mushrooms
2 ounces turkey pepperoni
1 roma tomato
1 teaspoon shredded basil
Directions:
1. 1. Put dough ingredients in bread machine and set to pizza dough setting.
2. 2. Simmer sauce ingredients together for ~40 min in saucepan.
3. 3. Separate dough into two balls. Stretch onto cooking surface (corn meal or flour will help to discourage sticking).
4. 4. Top dough with sauce, cheese, and toppings.
5. 5. Bake at ~500 degrees F for ~8 minute.
