These cheeseburger sliders are served in a mini pita sliced open like a hamburger bun. Perfect for an appetizer at a BBQ!
Ingredients:
20 mini pitas
10 oz of lean ground beef
50g of onion
1/8 cup of liquid egg whites
1/3 cup rolled oats
2 tbs of bbq sauce
3 low fat cheese slices
Directions:
1. Slice Mini Pita's open like a hamburger bun
2. Preheat grill or frying plan.
3. Mix ground beef, onion, egg whites, and rolled oats, and BBQ sauce in a bowl until fully blended and oats are distributed evenly.
4. Divide mixture and shape into 20 patties.
5. Grill for about 4 minutes on each side
6. Top with 1/6 of a slice of low fat cheese slice
7. Place cooked patty on bottom half of pita and serve with hamburger toppings.
