This super-easy recipe was given to me by a friend of mine. She made this dish for a Christmas party, and it was a huge hit! It is great as a side dish for ham!
Ingredients:
1/4 lb butter, melted
1 cup sugar
4 eggs, slightly beaten
5 -7 slices white bread, cubed
1 (15 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients.
2. Bake in a greased, quart casserole at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
3. Recommendation: Use more bread than what the recipe calls for. It just seems too wet and gooey unless you add more bread. (Add an extra 3-4 slices.).
