Pineapple Meatballs

This is from the Nu'uanu Congregational Church's 1985 Centennial Cookbook.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon crushed gingerroot
1/2 cup crushed pineapple
1/4 teaspoon msg (optional)
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Form 20 balls.
2. Bake at 375 for 35 minutes or broil until brown.
3. Serve hot.
