Pineapple Cheese Torte

This is a recipe from my mother's collection. This is a beautiful torte and so moist and loaded with great flavors. What's not to love about pineapple and cream cheese?
Ingredients:
1 cup all purpose flour
1-1/4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup finely chopped almonds
1/3 cup butter softened
filling
16 ounces cream cheese softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2/3 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
topping
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
20 ounce can crushed pineapple juice drained and reserved
1/2 cup whipping cream
fresh strawberries
Directions:
1. Combine all crust ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
2. Pat into the bottom of a rectangular baking pan then bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
3. For filling beat cream cheese in a mixing bowl until fluffy then beat in sugar and eggs.
4. Stir in juice then pour filling over hot crust and bake at 350 for 20 minutes then cool.
5. For topping combine flour and sugar in a saucepan then stir in 1 cup reserved pineapple juice.
6. Bring to a boil stirring constantly then boil and stir 1 minute.
7. Remove from heat and fold in pineapple then cool.
8. Whip cream until stiff peaks form then fold into topping mixture.
9. Spread carefully over dessert then refrigerate 6 hours or overnight then garnish with strawberries.
