Pimento Cheese Cornbread

Ingredients:
4 teaspoons butter-melted
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 12oz jar roasted red peppers-chopped
1 cup plain yellow cornmeal
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup milk
1/4 cup canola oil
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg-beaten
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degees.
2. Generously brush melted butter into a 9 baking pan or a cast iron skillet. Place in oven to heat.
3. In a large mixing bowl,combine remaining ingredients,stir until just combined.
4. Spoon batter into prepared pan. Bake 15-20 minutes or until top browns.
5. Cut into squares and serve hot with additional butter.
