pickled Shrimp

A great appetizer. Bring to room temperature before serving with crackers
Ingredients:
1 lb shrimp
1/4 cup celery leaves
2 tablespoons pickling spices
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 cup onion, thinly sliced
4 bay leaves
3/4 cup italian dressing (zesty)
1/3 cup white vinegar
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 drop tabasco sauce
1 tablespoon capers (add a little juice)
Directions:
1. Fill pot with water. Add celery leaves and pickling spices. Boil for at least 5 minutes. Water will turn a brownish yellow. Add shrimp and cook till done.
2. Meanwhile, combine all other ingredients in a non metal containe with lid. Peel cooked shrimp while warm and add to container. Place in refrigerator over night.
3. Serve with crackers - remember to bring to room temperature.
