Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups red wine vinegar
6 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon fennel seed
1 bay leaf
1 pinch red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 red onions, sliced
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, bring to a boil red wine vinegar, sugar, fennel seeds, bay leaf, red pepper flakes and salt.
2. Add sliced onions and simmer 1 minute; let cool.
