Phyllis Cake With Phyllis Icing (An Awesome Pound Cake!)

This is the famous cake that all the girls at the office want for their birthday! This recipe comes from Phyllis Bailey from New Jersey. ENJOY!
Ingredients:
3 cups sugar
1 cup butter, real butter
1/2 cup shortening, butter flavored
6 large eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon table salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup butter, real butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 1/2 tablespoons whole milk
Directions:
1. Cream together sugar, butter and shortening (CRISCO) until light and fluffy.
2. Add eggs, one at a time.
3. Add flour and salt mixture alternating with milk and vanilla.
4. Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 1/2 hours at 325.
5. DO NOT PREHEAT OVEN BEFORE PUTTING THE CAKE IN!
6. ICING:.
7. Cream the butter until fluffy.
8. Add sugar alternating with the milk and vanilla until it is spreading consistency.
