Perfect Flank Steak Marinade

I have been making this marinade for flank steak for years. I am asked for the recipe every time I serve it. It is a snap to put together with ingredients you probably already have! Please do not marinate for more than 8 hours, the fibers in the meat will break down too much and the texture will be mushy. Prep time includes marinating time. Please try it!
Ingredients:
1 (1 -1 3/4 lb) flank steak
1 cup kikkoman teriyaki marinade
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil (or to taste)
1 cup chopped onion
1 -2 garlic clove, crushed
1 inch fresh ginger, minced
plenty fresh ground black pepper
Directions:
1. Place flank steak in a gallon size zip bag.
2. Whisk together the remaining ingredients and pour over steak. Squish it all around so the steak is well covered by marinade.
3. Let it sit in the refrigerator 4-6 hours.
4. Bring it to room temperature, discard marinade and scrape off any onion, ginger or garlic that may be clinging to it (these will burn on the grill).
5. Grill to desired doneness and let rest a few minutes.
6. Slice thinly against the grain and serve!
