per request lanas banana split pie |
crust |
1 1/2 c chocolate cookie crumbs (crushed) |
2 tb granulated sugar |
1/4 c butter, softened |
custard |
2 cups whole milk |
2/3 cup sugar |
1/3 cup ap flour |
1/4 tsps salt |
3 ounces of cream cheese (very soft) |
toppings |
toppings are optional, ..be creative |
2 ripe bananas sliced |
whipped cream or ice cream for topping |
maraschino cherries |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
chocolate or chocolate syrup(optional) |
chocolate crust |
mix ingredients until thoroughly blended.press into a 9′ pie pan.bake |
375 degrees for 7 minutes. (just to set, do not overbake) |
allow to cool completely. |
(you may also use graham crackers or other wafers or cookies). |
make the custard |
combine the milk, flour, sugar, salt then eggs..i add the beaten eggs last. |
add very soft cream cheese. |
cook and stir over med. heat. let it get to the boiling point but it should not boil. |
when the custard is very thick remove from heat and wisk to insure smoothness. |
add vanilla, mix. |
now, pour evenly in to the graham cracker crust. |
dot more bananas in the custard. |
allow to cool and cover the desert with cool whip or whipped cream. |
optional: i usually top with cherries, chopped nuts and chocolate (all optional) |
