I'm a huge Basketball fan, and when the Lakers are playing I like to have a big plate of these in front of me with a nice cold beer. *Works well with any sport!!
Ingredients:
16 chicken wings (about 2 pounds), tips removed
1 tsp peanut, or vegetable oil
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 cup low-fat plain yogurt
1/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup blue cheese, crumbled (1 ounce)
1/2 small yellow onion, grated
1 tsp cider vinegar
Directions:
1. Preheat the broiler
2. Separate chicken wings and remove tips (kitchen scissors work fine)
3. in a medium bowl, combine peanut oil and cayenne pepper; add chicken and turn till well-coated
4. place chicken on broiler pan rack and broil 8 inches from flame, turning occasionally, until crisp, about 20 minutes
5. meanwhile, prepare the dip
6. in a bowl, whisk together yogurt, buttermilk, blue cheese, onion, and vinegar
7. transfer to a small serving bowl in the middle of a platter of chicken
8. ENJOY
9. *I always tend to have left over buttermilk, so I mix it with a small avocado and use it as a hair mask for about 20-30, Works great. It also works as a facial moisturizer. Just a tip for you ladies out there
