Pepper, Onion and Cranberry Relish

Adapted from a recipe by CROW . Goes great with lamb or chicken.
Ingredients:
1 red bell pepper, cut in large dice
1 yellow bell pepper, cut in large dice
1 red onion, cut in large dice
1 sweet onion, cut in large dice (such as vidalia or maui sweet)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup dried sweetened cranberries or 1/4 cup golden raisin
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup fruity red wine
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 pinch coarse salt
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 tablespoon shredded basil leaves or 1 teaspoon dried basil
Directions:
1. In a hot saucepan over a medium heat, combine peppers, onions, and oil; saute for 2 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the onions and peppers soften.
2. Stir cranberries, red wine vinegar, red wine and brown sugar into the vegetables and cook until the liquid thickens; approximately 20-30 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and basil.
