QUICK EASY APPETIZER VERY GOOD IF YOU LIKE SPICY THINGS.
Ingredients:
1 pound pepper-jack cheese
3 cups all-purpose flour
3 eggs beaten
3 cups crushed corn flakes
oil for deep-fat frying
salsa and guacamole, or ranch.. for dipping
Directions:
1. CUT CHEESE INTO 2-3/4 INCH STICKS,PLACE THE FLOUR, EGGS AND CORNFLAKES IN 3 SEPARATE, SHALLOW BOWLS
2. COAT THE CHEESE STICKS WITH FLOUR FIRST , THEN DIP IN EGG, THEN ROLLIN CORNFLAKES UNTIL WELL COATED.
3. LET STAND 5 MINUTES
4. IN A DEEP FAT-FRYER HEAT OIL TO 375 DEGREES, OR ELECTRIC SKILLET.
5. COOK CHEESE STICKS IN SMALL BATCHES FOR 3O SEC OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN.
6. DRAIN ON PAPER TOWEL AND LET STAND FOR 3 MINUTES
7. SERVE WITH RANCH, OR SALSA, OR GUACAMOLE.
8. YIELDS 2- 1/2 DOZEN
