1. Stir first 5 ingredients (through salt) over medium heat to dissolve sugar. Cook to 234 degrees or until forms a soft ball in cold water. Stir occasionally. 2. Remove from heat and add 1 tsp. vanilla. Beat vigorously until creamy and fudge-like consistency. Mix in walnuts. Pour into greased 9 x 9 pan. let cool and cut into squares.
