This is Darlene Kossman's recipe. It had more butter than the other recipes; and brown sugar. She has that you can use vegetable shortening instead of butter.
Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nuts
Directions:
1. Place first 4 ingredients in pan.
2. Bring to full rolling boil stirring constantly.
3. Boil 1 minute.
4. Remove and beat until lukewarm.
5. Add vanilla and nuts.
6. Pour into heavily buttered cookie sheet.
