Very nice green bean dish. I love the crunch of the water chestnuts. The mustard and vinegar give it a nice kick. Enjoy
Ingredients:
3 strips bacon cooked and crumbled
1 small onion sliced
1 can water chestnuts sliced
1 pound can cut green beans
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon vinegar
Directions:
1. Brown onions and water chestnuts slightly in hot bacon fat.
2. Drain beans saving 1/2 cup liquid.
3. Mix liquid with remaining ingredients and add to onion in skillet.
4. Cook stirring until mixture boils.
5. Add beans and heat thoroughly.
6. Serve garnished with crumbled bacon.
