Oats, honey and whole wheat flour
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups water
1/3 cup instant milk
1 tablespoon shortening
1 tablespoon flax seed
1 cup rolled oats
2 tablespoons oat bran
2 tablespoons wheat germ
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup vital wheat gluten
3 cups whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Mix yeast, sugar and 1/4 cup of the water. Let sit til bubbly.
2. Add wet ingredients, then dry ingredients. Knead for 15 minutes.
3. Let rise for about 2 hours.
4. Punch down and form into a loaf. Let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
5. Bake at 375°F for 35 minutes.
