This is the perfect Sunday morning breakfast... or for any company... Ingredients:
2 cups sifted cake flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 egg yolks |
1 1/4 cups milk |
6 tablespoons oil |
2 egg whites |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Preheat waffle iron. 2. Shift flour with baking powder and salt; set aside. 3. In medium bowl, beat egg yolk, milk, and oil until well combined with mixer. 4. Gradually add flour mixture, alittle at a time, beating after each addition; beat only until smooth. 5. In a small bowl beat egg whites until stiff peaks; gently fold into batter just until combined. 6. Stir in pecans. 7. About 1/2 cup of mixture makes one big waffle. |
