Ingredients:
3 cup(s) all-purpose flour (crust)
1/2 cup(s) sugar (crust)
1 cup(s) butter or margarine (crust) softened
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt (crust)
4 eggs (filling)
1-1/2 cup(s) light or dark corn syrup (filling)
1-1/2 cup(s) sugar (filling)
3 tablespoon(s) butter or margarine (filling) melted
1-1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract (filling)
2-1/2 cup(s) chopped pecans (filling)
Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, blend together flour, sugar, butter, and salt until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press firmly and evenly into greased 15 X 10 X 1 baking pan. Bake at 350* for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, in another bowl, combine first five filling ingredients. Stir in pecans. Spread evenly over hot crust. Bake 350* for 25 minutes or until set. Cool on wire rack. YIELD: 4 dozen
