PECAN FILLED HUNGARIAN COOKIES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Ravech Estate in Pilot Point, Texas in 1984.
Ingredients:
1 pound cream cheese softened
1 pound butter softened
1 pound flour
filling
2 eggs
1-1/2 cups brown sugar
2 tablespoon melted butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
1. Combine cream cheese, butter and flour then mix well and form into 1” balls.
2. Refrigerate overnight then roll thin.
3. Mix filling ingredients until well combined.
4. Fill each cookie with filling and bake 10 minutes at 400.
5. Brush with beaten egg white and sprinkle with sugar.
