Pear Custard Pie

Adapted from , I think , an Everyday Food recipe - can't be sure but it is easy and great for the pear season. I don't even bother to peel my pears !!
Ingredients:
3 pears, peel, halve and core then cut into 1/4 inch thick slices
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
3 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Pre heat oven to 350 F.
2. Grease 9 inch pie plate.
3. Arrange pear slices in pie plate, overlapping slightly.
4. Process in a blender all other ingredients till smooth.
5. Pour over pears.
6. Bake till golden and firm to touch - about 45 minutes.
