Pear Cranberry Pie With Oatmeal Streusel

If you can't find fresh cranberries, use thawed frozen ones. A prepared pie shell yields a stellar dessert with little effort ;] Serve with vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup oats
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 dash salt
2 tablespoons butter, chilled and cut into small pieces
3 cups anjou pears, cubed into 1/2-inch pieces (about 2 pears)
2 cups cranberries
2/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. To prepare streusel, combine first 5 ingredients in a medium bowl.
3. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal.
4. To prepare filling, combine pears, cranberries, 2/3 cup brown sugar, and cornstarch in a large bowl. Toss well to combine.
5. Spoon pear mixture into pastry shell; sprinkle streusel over pear mixture.
6. Bake for 1 hour, or until bubbly and streusel is browned.
7. Cool at least 1 hour on a wire rack.
