Pear Coconut Crisp

Ingredients:
6 fresh winter pears
1 cup packed brown sugar divided
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup flour divided
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup butter
1 cup flaked coconut
cream or half-and-half
Directions:
1. Peel core and slice pears.
2. Toss with 1/2 cup brown sugar, orange peel, cinnamon, nutmeg and 2 tablespoons flour.
3. Place in shallow baking dish then pour orange juice over pears.
4. Combine remaining brown sugar and flour then cut in butter until crumbly and stir in coconut.
5. Sprinkle over pears then bake covered at 350 for 40 minutes.
6. Uncover and bake 20 minutes longer then serve warm with cream or half-and-half.
