Read more . These are great for bake sales, holiday gifts when jarred and delicious snacks for your friends and family. They're easy to make and only have five ingredients!
Ingredients:
2 pounds of roasted and shelled peanuts
2 pounds brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup sesame seeds, toasted
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, dissolve sugar in vinegar and water and boil until quite thick. (The thicker the sugar solution, the more brittle the candy.)
2. Pour peanuts into saucepan and mix well.
3. Sprinkle the bottom of a pan or a smooth, clean cutting board with three-quarters of the toasted sesame seeds. (I use a large baking pan covered in Release Aluminum foil or a silicone mat.)
4. Pour the peanut mixture into the pan or on a board, flattening it out by rolling over it a bottleor jar smeared with enough peanut oil to keep the candy from sticking to the bottle.
5. Sprinkle the top with remaining sesame seeds.
6. Allow to cool; cut into squares or diamonds.
