Oh so good... Peanut butter cookies I can eat! I just made this recipe and ate 2 cookies while still hot! I also made up the recipe. I'm sure there are some close to it, but I think they are wonderful..
Ingredients:
peanut butter cookies
ingredients
* 1 1/4 cups ww flour
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 1/2 cup shortening or butter
* 1/2 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
* 1 cup packed splenda
* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
* 1 egg
* white sugar for fork pressing
optional: add 1 cup chocolate chips
Directions:
1. PREPARATION:
2. Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder; set aside. Cream shortening, peanut butter, and sugars; beat in vanilla and egg. Stir in flour mixture, blending well. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls OR (golf ball size); place on greased baking sheets.
3. Flatten each cookie with the tines of a fork; dip fork in white sugar periodically to keep it from sticking to the peanut butter cookie dough.
4. Bake peanut butter cookies at 375° for about 10 to 12 minutes (8 min. in Convection oven).
