Peanut Butter Peas Pie

Not too peanut buttery but still very tasty. Don't know why but I have never made this with instant pudding. Someone try it and tell me how it works.
Ingredients:
1 9 inch pie shell, baked and cooled
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 (3 1/2 ounce) package cook and serve vanilla pudding mix, made according to directions and cooled
1 (8 ounce) container cool whip
Directions:
1. Mix peanut butter and powdered sugar together until the size of a pea.
2. Put 3/4 of this mixture into the cooled pie crust.
3. Pour pudding over peas in the crust.
4. Spread cool whip over pudding.
5. Sprinkle with remaining peas.
6. Chill.
