Peanut Butter Layer Cake

If your a peanut butter fan then your gonna love this cake. If you want to try something different with this cake change the frosting to a chocolate frosting and garnish with chopped peanuts.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter chips , melted
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups milk
peanut butter frosting
1 cup peanut butter chips, melted
1 pkg. (8-oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
3 cups confectioners sugar
2-3 tbsp. milk
Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Add melted peanut buitter chips; mix well.
3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
4. Beat in vanilla.
5. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
6. Pour into two greased and floured 9-in. round cake pans.
7. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
8. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely.
9. For Frosting:
10. In a small mixing bowl, beat the melted chips, cream cheese, vanilla and salt until light and fluffy.
11. Add confectioners sugar alternately with enough milk to achieve spreading consistency.
12. Spread frosting between layers and over top and sides of cake.
13. NOTE: To change the cake a bit, I will frost it with chocolate frosting and garnish around the top edges with chopped or crushed peanuts. Its quite good!
