I take these delicious treats to the local farmers' market almost every Saturday. They sell out in no time.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
2 to 2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 cups peanut butter-creamy or crunchy
3/4 cup melted butter-salted or unsalted
1 or 2 12oz bags milk chocolate chips
Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and peanut butter. Mix well.
2. Pour melted butter over peanut butter mixture. Mix until well combined.
3. Press mixture into a foil lined 9 x 13 pan.
4. Melt chocolate chips in a small saucepan over low heat.
5. Pour over peanut butter mixture. Spread chocolate all the way to edges.
6. Cover pan loosely with wax paper(do not let it touch chocolate layer)and let chocolate set at room temperature.
7. When set, carefully remove foil liner from pan and set on flat surface.
8. Cut into 12 large bars or 24 small bars.
9. Store in a airtight container for up to one week-if they last that long.
10. Note(s):
11. Let chocolate set at room temperature. Placing pan in refrigerator will cause chocolate layer to crack.
12. Microwave a bar for 10 seconds to slightly remelt the chocolate and make it extra gooey. YUM!!
