Peachy Pecan Bread

a delightful peach bread to serve with coffee or tea. Can be used as a breakfast bread, or even a dessert bread with a drizzle icing on it
Ingredients:
1 (16 oz.) can sliced peaches
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. peach preserves
6 tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
2 c. all purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. chopped pecans
Directions:
1. Drain peaches, reserving 1/4 cup syrup.
2. Finely chop 1 cup peaches; set aside.
3. In blender container, combine remaining peaches, butter or margarine, eggs,the reserved peach syrup and lemon juice.
4. Cover; blend just until smooth.
5. Stir together dry ingredients.
6. Add egg mixture; stir just until moistened.
7. Fold in reserved peaches and nuts.
8. Turn into a greased 8 x4 x2 loaf pan.
9. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
10. Spread with peach preserves.
11. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove and cool on rack.
