Peaches And Raspberries With Cream Meringue

This is another recipe that you chill. I can't even guess on the prep time.
Ingredients:
2 12 oz. pkgs. frozen sliced peaches, defrosted and drained
2 12 oz. pkgs. frozen red raspberries, defrosted and drained, reserving juice
6 almond macaroons
3/4 c. sugar
2 egg whites
1/2 c. heavy cream
1/4 c. sour cream
Directions:
1. Arrange half the peaches in the bottom of a crystal serving bowl.
2. Cover with half the raspberries.
3. Crumble the macaroons and mash them with 1/2 cup of the drained raspberry juice.
4. Add half the sugar.
5. Spread half of this mixture over the fruit in the bowl.
6. Repeat these layers with the remaining peaches, raspberries and macaroon mixture and chill.
7. An hour or less before serving time, beat the egg whites until foamy, gradually add the remaining sugar, and continue to beat until the meringue is thick and glossy.
8. Fold in the heavy cream, beaten stiff and the sour cream.
9. Spoon the cream meringue over the fruit and keep refrigerated until serving time.
10. Serves 8.
