This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Torres Estate in Terrell, Texas in 1991.
Ingredients:
10 quartered peeled peaches
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 egg
2 tablespoons cream
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2-cup flour
1/4-cup soft butter
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425.
2. Arrange peaches over a pastry lined pie pan.
3. Sprinkle sugar and nutmeg over peaches.
4. Beat egg and cream together and pour over peaches.
5. Mix brown sugar, flour and butter until crumbly.
6. Sprinkle crumb mixture over fruit.
7. Bake 35 minutes or until browned.
