We always look foward to having moms famous pea soup. Its usually served after thankgiving or Christmas.
Ingredients:
ham bone
leftover ham (optional)
1 big onion
4 celery ribs
3 medium carrots
yellow split peas
garlic
salt and pepper
Directions:
1. Boil ham bone for 3 hrs in large pot to get a broth.
2. Dice onion, celery, carrots.
3. Remove bone, add vegetables, peas and seasoning.
4. Simmer until mush, add ham(optional).
