Pea Salad With Almonds

Found this in an old cookbook called We're Cookin' Now ...I haven't tried it yet...but it sounds delicious...let me know what you think...
Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) package frozen baby peas
1 (8 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts
1/2 cup almonds, chopped
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
3 tablespoons sour cream
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons sugar
Directions:
1. Rinse and thaw peas.
2. Rinse and cut water chestnuts into quarters.
3. Put both peas and chestnuts in medium size bow.l.
4. Melt butter in small saute' pan, add almonds and saute till light brown.
5. Remove from heat and let cool.
6. Once cool add almonds to peas and water chestnuts; add mayonnaise, sour cream and sugar.
7. You may want to add more sugar according to your own taste.
8. Serve immediately or keep refrigerated till needed.
