Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain well.
  2. Meanwhile, cook lamb, onion, and garlic in a large skillet till the meat is brown.
  3. Drain fat from skillet.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, oregano, cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoons pepper.
  5. Cook, covered, about 5 minutes or till heated through.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Stir in the 3/4 cup parmesan cheese.
  8. Layer half the pasta in a 2 quart square baking dish.
  9. Top with meat mixture, then the remaining pasta.
  10. For sauce, melt margarine in a small saucepan.
  11. Stir in flour and 1/8 tsp pepper till well blended.
  12. Add milk all at once.
  13. Cook and stir over medium heat till mixture is thickened and bubbly.
  14. Stir some of the mixture into the egg.
  15. Return egg mixture to saucepan.
  16. Cook and stir 2 minutes more.
  17. Stir in the 1/4 cup parmesn cheese.
  18. Pour sauce over the pasta layer.
  19. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 oven about 35 minutes or till heated through.
  20. If desired, sprinkle with additional parmesan cheese.
  21. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
