I made some major changes to an existing recipe and came up with this one. We didn't even have any leftovers it was so good!
Ingredients:
1 lb chicken tenders
6 slices of bacon
1/2 box of pasta shells of your choosing-i used campenelle
1 c. flour
1 c. heavy cream
3/4 c. chicken broth
3/4 c. white wine
1/2 bag fresh spinach
1 tsp garlic minced
1/2 tsp season salt
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp white pepper (you can use black if that is all you have)
shredded parmesan (optional)
Directions:
1. Cook pasta according to directions.
2. In a large frying pan cook bacon until crispy.
3. Remove bacon and set aside (crumble when cool enough).
4. In a bowl mix the flour, salts, pepper, and garlic powder.
5. Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture and brown in the large pan with the bacon grease.
6. When chicken is lightly browned remove from the pan, cover, and set aside.
7. Remove any excess fat.
8. Saute the garlic for a minute.
9. Deglaze the pan with the wine and broth.
10. Add the spinach and cook until almost wilted.
11. Add the cream and stir then add the crumbled bacon back to the pan.
12. Simmer 5 minutes-10 minutes.
13. Add the pasta and stir to coat.
14. Sprinkle with parmesan if desired.
15. Top with the chicken tenders.
16. Serve and enjoy!
