You can add a tablespoon of raisins or diced dried fruit to this dish for added flavor. It's similar to a rice pudding type of dessert.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup italian pastina
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon butter
1/8 tablespoon cinnamon
Directions:
1. Cook pastina in boiling salted water until al dente.
2. Drain and return to saucepan.
3. Add in the cream and 2 tablespoons of the sugar.
4. Stir over low heat until hot and thickened, about 2 minutes.
5. Stir in butter.
6. Spoon into bowls.
7. Combine the remaining sugar and cinnamon to sprinkle over top of pudding.
