2 cans 28 oz each favorite baked beans ( i used the brown sugar vegetarian kind ) |
3 cans, 15 oz each red kidney beans, rinsed and drained |
2 cans, 15 oz each pinto beans, rinsed and drained |
1 lb ring smoked kielbasa sliced in rings ( i used turkey variety ) |
1 jar pickled jalapeno peppers sliced & drained ( i omitted as this would be much too hot for us ) |
1 medium onion chopped |
1/2 cup spicy brown mustard |
1/4 cup steak sauce (i like the sweet tangy kind ) |
note: original recipe called for 1/4 cup steak seasoning but the steak sauce added more sauciness to the beans and we loved the taste |
i did not have to add any salt or pepper either |
