Parmesan Onion Bread

This bread is delicious. The original calls for rye but I prefer french.
Ingredients:
1 loaf unsliced french bread
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 tablespoon parsley (fresh or dried)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F
2. Slice bread into 14 equal pieces, cutting to but not through the bottom of the loaf.
3. In small bowl, combine all remaining ingredients; blend well. Spread part of the cheese mix between the first 2 slices of bread. Skip the next slice but spead on the following one, alternating the spread every other slice.
4. Place loaf on a large sheet of heavy duty foil and lift up foil to cover and wrap securely.
5. Bake for 20 to 25 min or until bread is hot.
