Ingredients:

  • 4 large onions
  • 2 tbsp shortening
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 lb stew meat
  • 4 cup potatoes
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/4 cup flour

Directions:

  1. In soup kettle, fry onions in shortening.
  2. Add paprika, stew meat, and cubed potatos
  3. Cover with water and simmer for 45 minutes
  4. Meanwhile, create dough from remaining ingredients.
  5. Form dough into snakes and cut into small dumplings about the size of a thumb tip and add to simmering pot. Cook ten minutes and serve.
