These pancakes are very different. They are light and yummy and taste somewhat like French toast. Remember, you must use fresh bread crumbs.
Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups fresh bread crumbs
2 cups buttermilk or soured milk
1 cup flour
1-1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda, dissolved in 1/4 cup hot water
Directions:
1. Combine first 6 ingredients and blend well.
2. Add baking soda and water just before frying pancakes.
