Nice make ahead.
Ingredients:
12 cups of mixed greens
2 medium oranges,peeled,sectioned
1 avocado,peeled,seeded,sliced(sprinkle lemon jucie or an ascorbic acid color keeper over the avocado to keep from turning.)
1/2 medium cucumber,peeled,seeded,sliced
1 small red onion,sliced,separated into rings
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
2 cups shredded monterey jack cheese(8oz)
1/2 cup orange yogurt
1/2 cup creamy french salad dressing
1 teaspoon celery seeds
1/4 cup toasted slivered almonds
Directions:
1. In large salad bowl,layer half the greens.
2. Add orange sections.
3. Treat the avocado .
4. Layer avocado over orange section.
5. Layer first the cucumber,then the onion,green pepper,and finally the cheese.
6. Top salad with the remaining greens.
7. In a small bowl,mix yogurt,salad dressing and celery seeds.
8. Spread yogurt mixture over the top of the salad.sealing edges of the bowl.
9. Top with Almonds
10. Refrigerate up to 24 hours.
11. Toss before serving.
